Entertaining your family when you’ve Just Had Enough.
Let’s face it, we are all pig-sick of lockdowns, restrictions, inter-dimensional murder hornets… The last thing we want is to have to be locked up with our (beloved) families for another month straight. Unfortunately, 2020 is the gift that keeps on giving…lemons.
Here at Lilly Likes we have decided to help out our lovely followers with a little lockdown inspiration. When all is said and done, it’s still quality time… even if they are forcing us into it. So here’s Lilly’s advice on what to do when you are stuck at home. Don’t be #boredinthehouse this November. Try these things, instead
What to do During Lockdown
Just when we thought it was all over, we get hit by lockdown round 2. Follow some of Lilly’s innovative suggestions and you might just get out of this year with a smile on your face and a ton of new memories.
Have you Heard of Home Activity Sets?
We managed to track down the Bukt home activity box. Luckily for all of us, they managed to squeeze a whole bunch of interesting activities that all the family can enjoy, into one big box of fun. The deal we retrieved allows for a one month subscription which, let’s be honest, is all we really need it for.

So if you want to enjoy a wealth of activities such as:
- A baking kit for all ages
- A cocktail making masterclass for the parents
- £60 worth of activities for a reduced price
- Online activities
- Bukt ‘brain workouts’
- Online courses and programs
- Challenges and at-home activities, perfect for everyone.
That’s the lowdown. Bear in mind that the boxes are for two people and you can only reserve one per household. Most of the home-based activities can be shared with the kids though. Anyway… couples need entertainment too! They’re going real fast so be sure to grab yours before we get too deep into lockdown. Get yours here
Digital Storytelling Provides Hours of Entertainment
The Tell Storytelling App is one of the most reliable, intricate storytelling aps on the market. We don’t mean intricate as in ‘hard to operate’, we mean intricate as in ‘filled with stories’.
Aimed at younger kids, this phone, tablet, or computer app, is able to tell bedtime, daytime, and naptime stories to your younger kids. The app contains all of the usual suspects like goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Frog Prince, Little Red Riding Hood – and so many more.
Although aimed at the younger users, this app is fun for everyone. If you want to, you have the ability to create your own fairy tales, record them, and store them for later use. The app is fully interactive and comes with audio playback and lots of artwork to choose from to piece together your story.
So just to be clear, this app gives each member of the family a chance to make their own stories… including your kids, who can write a story and star in it, if they so choose. You tell us which kid doesn’t want to star in their own bedtime story…
That’s pretty darn cool. Lilly wishes she were still little so she could try it out.

Check out the deal, join in, and see if one of your children (or even yourself) has an eye for a good photo. Best of all? Lilly Likes Lockdown
(But Not a Lot)
So instead of being bored at home, scrolling through social media and being shocked by the latest Covid-19 statistics, join Lilly Likes on our quest to make lockdown entertaining. We might not be enjoying the great outdoors – but it’s November and we are down for a little Hygge time.
Let’s cosy up to the fire, hold our loved ones close, and cherish all these special moments that keep getting handed to us. It’s time we saw the good in family time… and started buying activity sets before we all kill each other.
